I have two computers (A has Win2k Server and is 192.168.0.1, B has Win2k pro
and is 192.168.0.2). Both are on the same private network. When on computer
A I type: start->run->"\\192.168.0.2" it pops up a login, and I can get to
the file shares. However, from computer B, if I type:
start->run->"\\192.168.0.1" it says it cannot find it.

They are both in the same workgroup. When I check the local area connection
on the laptop, it has "Client for Microsoft Networks" checked.

Does anyone know what I might be doing incorrectly? Do you know what port is
used for those requests? What protocol do I need installed? Service?

Thanks!

Hi,

does ping work in both directions?

Under Network you should have:
* TCP/IP
* File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network
* Client for Microsoft Network
