Communicating with socks is fairly easy.
You put the sock over your hand, and push in a fold between the index
finger and thumb to be a mouth, and use a marking pen to draw eyes
approxmately on the index and middle fingers just below the knuckles.
Then get behind a box or table with a curtain, and stick your hand up
above it where the children can see it, and there you are. Repeat for
the other hand if you can do more than one voice.
Oh, you mean the socks *protocol*. Well, that's very different.
That's documented in rfc 1928, if I recall correctly.
