Is Comcast my only choice?

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia.
I need a 2nd IP address for a secondary mail server. Comcast
has a "Pro" service for $95 a month, which includes 5 static
IP addresses. Is there any other service availble via cable
or satellite or DSL for less money, which will give me
2 static IP addresses?

-Thanks

Let's try to get this ALMOST on topic for this group and find out why
the other IP address is needed. For reliability you get nothing more
from a second IP. Still the same machine, same upstream routers. If one
IP goes down for some reason or other, they BOTH go down.

This is a worldwide newsgroup. Probably very few of us are in your area.
Service providers charge what they think they can get away with, and
that will vary by area. So why ask here?

That's what newsgroups are for dipshit, sharing information.
If I wanted to spend hours researching this, I wouldn't have
asked. I'll let you try and figure out why the question was
posted to a networking newsgroup. Grow up!

Well, I can tell immediately from your degeneration to name-calling
that you have no discipline nor self-control over yourself or your
thought processes. Why not stop and think before letting your fingers
do the walking on the keyboard? Oh yeah, I forgot that as soon as the
mood hits, you just rush off asking things before checking around for
the answers. How could I expect anything different from any other
aspect of your personality?

By the way, newsgroups are not for answering things that are not
relevant to the group. Fishing around for prices of ISP's is not
networking related, it is ISP-related. Thus why not ask on
alt.comp.linux.isp ?? Maybe because you didn't want to take the time
to find the correct group?

You can also do a Google groups search for "isp comcast philadelphia"
and turn up LOADS of pages on the service as well as some people who
have some problems with it. The search took me all of 30 seconds to
complete. You could have had your answer faster that way than posting
this off-topic question and waiting for the replies, none of which I
may add has answered your question.

Why not spend about 5 minutes trying to find the answers on your own
next time instead of immediately posting something? You will find
people will only put as much work into helping you as you are willing
to put in helping yourself.
