Alright, so I'm sorry if I'm computer illiterate...and though I think I
should be posting this in a Comcast Support Group, I trust you guys way more.
So I popped in my Comcast CD to set up internet, broadband I believe. I
follow all the steps...and then when it gets to Service Configuration, it
tells me that it is unable to establish a network connection, probably
because the modem is not connected properly.
So my Network Adapter passed, my Connectivity Check Failed.
To describe the setup...I have all the cables and junk inside the laundry
room, where all the wires and cables are. So I have cables running through
the modem and through the router, as well as ethernet wires.
From my computer desk, I have the ethernet wire connected to the computer as
well.
What else am I going to need to do to get this working?!
Steps Told To Me to Set Up Modem
A Dedicated Cable Outlet
Built-in Cable Outlet
Cable in the laundry room connected to the modem.
What I didnt understand..."Connect the power cord to your modem and plug it
into an outlet."
Modem Switch Turned On
Connection through Ethernet
Ethernet connected to modem in room;ethernet connected to computer on desk.
If someone can help me, THANKS A BUNCH!!
