coda kernel skew

hello

i'm running kernel 2.4.21 with compiled in coda FS and DevFS but when i
start venus as root i get the following error:

[SNIP]
10:58:02 WorkerInit: Version Skew with kernel! Get a newer kernel!
10:58:02 WorkerInit: Kernel version is 2
[SNIP]

what is wrong !?
btw: coda is version 6.0.1
