Is it possible to have 2 domain controllers from 2 different domains reside
on the same subnet? On subnet 10.16.248.xxx mask 255.255.248.0 one DC would
have an ip addr of 10.16.248.1 from x domain and the other would have an ip
addr of 10.16.248.16 from domain b. Domain b DC would have no DHCP server
enabled on it. Any reply will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is possible because each domain has it's own identity. If you want to
communicate between them, you can create trusts. One scenario is a
partnership company's DC for their domain on site with a VPN between them.
We also do it all the time in classroom configurations where each student
has their own domain in their own separate forests.

Instead of the website you're using, I suggest to use OEx (Outlook Express
or any other newsreader), and configure a news account, pointing to
news.microsoft.com. This is a direct link to the Microsoft Public
Newsgroups. It is FREE and requires NO ISP's Usenet account. OEx allows you
to easily find, track threads, cross-post, sort by date, poster's name,
watched threads or subject.

It's easy:

Ace, I think you can have as many domains as you want on one subnet. I
clients are configures properly, there should be no issues. Thx

That is correct, CasDeTroy, you can have an infinite number of domains
and/or forests. Clients must be configured to use their domain's respective
DNS server, or even a common DNS server if you like. As I said we do it ALL
the time in classroom situations as well as two of my clients have that sort
of scenario.
