I have a Windows peer to peer network, and want to add my Linux box to it. I
can't figure out if a Samba client or server setup is what I want.... I have
a printer attached to one WinXP machine that I'd like to share, but I want
the Linux box available for file sharing - both to and from other PC's, in
part for file backup. I see my Linux PC as just another machine on the
network but can't find any documentation to help configure Samba. Thanks in
advance.

Use the Samba server to share your resources and the client to access
resources on other computers.

A Windows machine on a P2P network is both server *and* client.
