i am using class c ip for my network. for example. ip-
200.100.100.1 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

But the number of clients on my network can be upto 254.
Now i want to increase the clients upto 350.

i changed the subnet as 255.255.0.0 for testing with
seperate network and it is working.

Shall i change the same on my live network. Will it be any
problems

Kindly let me know

It would work,...although you may be better off creating another subnet and
using a router between them. Having more than 250-300 hosts on one subnet
can cause performance to suffer.

But why are you using a Public Address set on a Private network? Do you
actually own those addresses and have had them assigned to you by an ISP?
Do you realize the problems you will cause if you use IP addresses in your
Private system that you do not own?

According to Internet Registrations, those addresses are owned by Latin
American and Caribbean IP address Regional Registry (LATNIC)
[200.0.0.0--200.255.255.255]. The smaller block you mentioned has been
assigned out to "Comite Gestor da Internet no Brasil" in Sao Paulo, with the
contact person being "Frederico A C Neves". So are you them?

I've seen problems caused by that addressing issue that were tough to solve
before I found out what had been done,...so I'm just doing some "preventive
diagnosis" and solve some problems before they start.

I'm also under the influence of Novacane, and can hardly talk without
slobering <hehe>
