Who told you this?
If your workplace are telling you that, then that is your only option
because they are requiring you to dial into their network in order to
access the system.
If they don't support any other access method then there's nothing you
can do.
If BT told you this then I'd ignore them and talk to whoever is
responsible for administering the Citrix system at your workplace to see
if they allow it.
