I have 4 computers running off of this router, all work well except for the
main computer.
Every other day or so the main computer wont boot
I gets stuck in a boot failure loop
The problem is not in the BIOS
I have to DSL modem set to one IP address
and the router set to another address
In the windows 7 even viewer the error message centers around DCHP not being
able to access the NIC
I finally get it to work by trial and error by a hard reset of the router
and DSL modem
I believe something in the windows shut down sequence is not saving the
correct router and modem DCHP settings
That’s about the best I can do describing the issue, im kind of a noob at
this
suggestions welcome
Thanks

An inability to get a response from a DHCP server won't cause a
failure to boot, so I wouldn't be looking at the router, especially
since it seems to be working fine with the other computers. I think
the problem lies squarely with the main computer.

On the main computer, disable the 'automatically restart after system
failure' function so you can see what's going on. Also, check Device
Manager for any hardware issues, especially in the area of the network
adapter. Lastly, copy and paste the relevant information from the
event viewer so we can see what's going on.
