Hi,
Used security:
128 bits encyption
SSID not automatically assigned
MAC Adress filter
I´ve setup a wireless network useing 3 aironet 1200series accespoints. The
wireless part works excellent using HP 9000 series laptops and iPAQ´s.
I personally use an older laptop, toshiba 4600. This one cannot acces te
wifi network. It says it has 100% signal. But i keeps on saying: LAN
Connection 2: network cable unplugged.
When I check the signal and I take a look on the accespoint´s log, it says:
* Station (MAC Adress) Authenticated
* Station (MAC Adress) Associated
So that looks fine i´d say. Still, on my Toshiba it says "network cable
unplugged"
I´ve found out that becuase the Toshiba is older the 128 bits encyption
could cause the problem. The Toshiba Client manager supports 40 and 128bits
encryption.
The Cisco device supports 64 and 128 bits encryption.
When I turn of the encyption (at client and accespoint) it doesn´t seem to
help.
who can advice me some more?
thank you
EvB
