I am using a Proxim AP-600g at home, works fine with the Proxim a/b/g card,
Cisco 340, Orinoco Gold, Linksys G.

Was not aware that Cisco has a G solution. Anyone have info?

All of you switching to (g), send me a (b) router and a couple of cards! My
cable modem is slower than the old standard anyway! What would I gain, what
do you gain by switching?

Marc

Your assuming all users are using their WLAN hardware exclusively for
broadband internet traffic. While that may have some truth in various web
boards in this group there is at least a percentage that use their wireless
clients as normal LAN traffic clients, perhaps sharing an internet
connection as well. Obviously the added bandwidth of the G gear shows an
enormous advantage in this environment.
