Cisco ADSL WIC speed for BT ADSL-Max

Hello,
In the UK, now have upgraded to an "up to 8mbps" RADSL circuit. Plug on a
latest Linksys router and I get 7.6Mbps / 448Kbps maximum rate. But my
Cisco 2811 with a WIC-1ADSL card seems stuck at 2Mbps/256Kbps. What is the
config required to realise the extra speed, or is the WIC limited to 2Mbps,
mandating an expensive HWIC replacement? Appreciate all input. br/David.
