Thanks to Dr Zoidberg for the shiny new cable.

Unfortunately the Cisco setup is asking for the router name and password
which I don't have

Can you not do some sort of hardware reset?

Right. I better put it back on EBay (after taking advice here to but an ISDN
Rouer on EBay)

Why? That doesn't look too difficult - just follow the instructions to
the letter, and if the password isn't encrypted then password and
hostname will be displayed, if it is encrypted you replace it.

When you said in an earlier thread "Hey this my 10th year on the
Intetrnet and 34 years using computers", were you being absolutely
truthful, and have you ever done anything other than basic stuff
before that my Mum could do with ease?
