Hello

I'm looking updating our wireless to 5 remote locations.
Question is I've been looking for months on what I feel to be the best
product out of the ones I have listed above.
But would like some input for others, that may have more knowledge than
I.

The Main Site: main backbone, Servers, routers, etc..
Note: The main site has to relay to a tower before it can reach any of
the remote sites.

Ok here's what is running at the remote sites.

relay tower: 2 nodes push and pulls text base info along with one
camera system. low framerates 8-10

remote site 1: 7 nodes connect to a SQL database, Internet/internet
reports, Email W/ attachments that could be as big as 20MB.
UserDir located on server.

remote site 2: 5 nodes connect to a SQL database, Internet/internet
reports,
Email W/ attachments that could be as big as 20MB.
UserDir located on server.
this location also has 16 channel CCTV that users will check in on from
time to time via webbase remote veiwing. (intranet) Mpeg4 framerate
could be set as high as 32fps

remote site 3: 4 nodes connect to a SQL database, Internet/internet
reports,
Email W/ attachments that could be as big as 20MB.
UserDir located on server.

some onfo based off of the mfg spec's

the Cisco 1410 will do 54mbps=6.75MB Simplex I think
'Cisco 1410' (http://tinyurl.com/3yy3ro)

RWA 5000 Quad the same 54mbps=6.75MB but claims it will do
"RWA-5XXX are rated at 40-50Mb real thought put" I be leave this is
also Simplex
'RWA 5000'

Proxim GX 200 will do 204mbps=25.5MB fulduplex vendor claims it's a
100Meg eachway.
'Gx 200'

If you have any info on any ot these or suggestions on our layout.
Please sound in.

thanks

What distance between main site and the relay tower?
What distances between relay tower and remote sites?
What angle covers all remote sites from the relay tower?
Do you have clear line of sight and fresnel zone in all cases?

~ the Cisco 1410 will do 54mbps=6.75MB Simplex I think
~ 'Cisco 1410' (http://tinyurl.com/3yy3ro)

The BR1410 uses standard 802.11a (with packet concatenation enhancements
at the MAC layer, for better throughput esp. with smaller packets.)

802.11a gives a nominal signaling rate of up to 54Mbps (that is to say,
54,000,000 bits/sec.), with a best-case user data throughput rate of
about 27Mbps. This is half duplex; you can combine BR1410 pairs on
separate channels (we recommend 5 meters of separation between bridges.)

For more information, see the data sheet
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/coll...08018495c.html
and the range calcuation utility
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...8009459b.shtml .
Bear in mind that the best-case
user data throughput rate will normally be about half of the nominal 802.11
signaling rate.

The distance between the main site and the relay tower is about maybe
1.5 miles
and from the relay tower to the remote sites are maybe about 1.5 miles
as well.
the reason that we need the relay site is that from it the remote sites
are over a ridge that can not be seen by the main site.

Angles are maybe 120 +

Yes clear line of site.

That's pretty far. The electronics won't matter as much as the
antennas. Your probably going to need highly directional antennas all
around, and if the angle to cover all remote sites is 120°, then you're
probably going to need more than one access point and antenna pointing
at the remote sites.
