Has anybody gotten The IOS Based Cisco 1100 access point working with
Ias as a radius server? I have been having problems with the ap not
sending the proper authentication request attributes using PEAP.
According to my IAS authentication request logs when compared to a
Cisco 350 series ap I am missing these attributes:
6 - Service-Type
5000 - not sure the data from the 350 shows the ssid
4132 - EAP-Friendly-Name

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre..._ias_log1a.asp

^ link to IAS attributes

Thanks

On the computer you're trying to authenticate, are you running the
Cisco Aironet client software or using Windows XP zero-config?
Microsoft's and Cisco's implementations of PEAP are not interoperable,
so if you're using the Cisco client, I believe you may need to use
Cisco ACS instead of MS IAS for your radius server.

I am using XP. I have had this set up with the 350 series ap for quite
some time. The problem was the "NAS-Port-Type" value was being passed
as a vpn instead of wireless 802.11. Fixed it with newest firmware or
could have set the properties for vpn instead of wireless on the IAS.

Thanks for the reply
