Chris H -- MN-100 current firmware?

Chris, I stopped hanging out and posting here a while ago
cuz I started getting spammed pretty bad after posting a
couple of responses to the newsgroup! I was just
wondering, without having to read through the last six
months worth of posts, if there is anything new in the way
of firmware for my mn-100. I am running V1.11.017 and the
router is working well, but I was really looking for them
to fix the whole hour increments on the client filtering
rules and such. I did check the download site and it said
that there is nothing newer, but they have always posted
updates here well before they ever made it to the download
site so I just thought that I would ask the question!

Thanks in advance for any info you provide..and I am sorry
that I had to stop coming here, but I stupidly thought
that MS would be courteous enough to not allow crawlers to
pull email addresses and so I used my real address..boy
was that a mistake!!

1.11.017 is the latest firmware for the MN100. I'd be surprised if they
added client filtering increments by 30 minutes at this point.

While MS may host these newsgroups, they really have no control over who can
access it (since everyone is allowed to access it). As such, it is
difficult for MS to stop people/machines from harvesting potential spam
victims. In the future, you might want to alter your posting e-mail address
so that these harvesting processes can't get a real e-mail address. Live
and learn.

Jason already answered your questions, Barry, but you might be interested in
how to munge your address when posting in public newsgroups:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/net-abuse-faq/munging-address/ Using some of those
suggestions, real people are able to contact you if necessary, but the bots
won't know what to do with the "bad" address.
