I am moving into a townhouse-style condo with three floors. Each level is
approximately 600 sq. ft. (20W x 30L).
I will have a Linksys WAP11 on the top floor in the front bedroom (front
half) of the unit. I'd like to add a directional antenna so that I get a
good wireless signal down in the basement where I plan to have a computer
"workshop". I don't care so much about having wireless access far outside
of my unit so I was thinking of a somewhat directional antenna. I would
appreciate any suggestions on what would work best in this application.

Before you spend any money, try using reflectors to direct the signal where
you want it.

You can hack out a couple of these with cardboard & aluminum foil to see if
it works. If it does, then you can build a more durable version.
