D-Link DI-524 router
Windows Pro 2000 network

installed a USB printer on one computer and had trouble with a repeated
paper jam while printing over the network.

then the network went down one computer at a time. rebooted the router
and reset for the DSL connection.

now the computers can see the network again, but I get this annoying
message popping up that the network is unplugged.

?????

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT INSTALLING THE PRINTER HAS CAUSED THE ROUTER TO GET
"CONFUSED"? or should I rather suspect the router as faulty hardware.

or something else.

what does it mean when windows keeps telling me I am unplugged while I
can still copy files across the network and share the DSL?

thanks

roy
