CHECK BOX MIssing??? connect even if network is not broadcasting

the check box for this option in wireless is missing...how can i get it back???

Configure your Wireless to broadcast, connect to its SSID, put it in the
preferred list and then choose to connect even if it is Not Broadcasting.

just did updates and the check box re-appeared...problem solved
