I've found that www.dslsource.co.uk sells a Draytek 2600vg for £182.01 Inc
VAT and free post, anyone know a cheaper place to get one from before I
place my order !? I've Google'd and Froogle'd but these folk 'seem' to have
the lowest price ??

Anyone ?

Dave.

Check Transparentcomunications.com, they have one demo unit in their bargain
basement for ~£172 but check the postage prices.
Also check Davoom.com prices, they were even selling new ones on Ebay,
usually some second hand ones there too.

Finally check out Zyxel 2602HWL from Broabandbuyer.co.uk, I recon they have
got the price wrong, it's cheaper then 2602HW and it's got PSTN pass trough
(2600VG hasn't)
also multiple VoIP registrars (Draytek still hasn't got the firmware out).
Sorry if I complicated your choice..
Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin, Is the Zyxel 2602HWL a 'better' option than the 2600VG ????

Dave (confused !)

Dave (confused !):
>Hi Martin, Is the Zyxel 2602HWL a 'better' option than the 2600VG ????

Well, on paper yes, as I said:
1. It has got pass-through to PSTN, so from one (or each) phone you can dial
via VoIP or BT,
useful if you don't want too many phones on the desk or can't rely on people
to use the right one..., Draytek 2600VG can't do that, (but 2100V and 2500V
can, but have only one VoIP port).

2. It has different registrars / providers for each of the two VoIP lines,
Draytek is promising to update their firmware to do that since..., I forgot
when :-)

3. It's £159.04 from broadbandbuyer, I think they have the price wrong
because the 2602HW (without the Landline pass-through) is £173.20 ! But
don't tell them ;-)

I have one sitting in a box at friends house, but I won't be able to try it
until Saturday.
Regards,
Martin
