I have been with them since the days of 1p/min dial-up.
About a month ago it seems that they combined all 3 seperate networks
together with the rollout of their claimed 20 Mbit service, so NTL,
Blueyonder and vigin.net customers it seems are now all sharing the same
date ways which don't seem to have been given the funds to cope so are
completely over-saturated.
It has got so bad that I have handed in my notification of cancellation
of all services. Packet loss even in the daytime means VOIP only works
sometimes.
They are on the verge of a sell-off so I can't see things improving for
a long while.
I would say at present they are without doubt _the_ worst ISP in the UK
for both service and reliabillity.
for the OP, I have a PAYG broadband connection from Entanet which is
about £12 / month including 3 GB data with additional bandwidth paid for
at £1/GB ( I connected trough UKFSN but there's a good coice of
re-sellers all selling the same service)
