changing subnet of DC and BDC, not IP Address

I've inherited a network where the DCs and computers are all on a class B
subnet mask, but the routers between different sites are configured for a
class C subnet mask, can I change the subnet of the DCs and not have any
negative consequences? The server IP address is 172.16.10.10 255.255.0.0 and
the router is as 172.16.10.1 255.255.255.0. I want to change the servers to
use the same subnet mask.

Thanks in advance

I see no issue in that. Just make sure that you'll do the changes on both
DCs and workstations and also set the subnets correctly in Sites & Services.

Thanks Andrei, that's what I thought. I'll give it a try with my fingers
crossed.
