I'm in the process of changing from BT using the migration service provided
by my new ISP. This process should ensure that the handover from BT to my
new provider happens seamlessly, but two things come to mind:
1) You have to make sure you know as much as possible about your existing BT
product (CBUK code, product title, etc), to give your new ISP as much help
as you can in dealing with BT.
2) As I understand it, a migration is only possible between similar
products, ie you can't migrate a 500 service to a 2000 service, and you need
to go down the cancel and new subscribe route, with a risk that the two
operations won't "synchronise".
