Is there a firewall program on either computer that needs to be
re-configured to allow access on the new subnet?
On the XP computer, delete and re-create any shortcuts to the Win98
computer in My Network Places.
Can each computer access the other computer by its IP address? Try
typing the other computer's IP address in the Start | Run box in this
format:
\\192.168.2.x
