Hi

The netmask assigned to the PC by the DHCP server is 255.255.255.0 and we
would like it to be replaced with 255.255.254.0.

However, the Netmask settings for the scope, on the DHCP server is greyed
out.
What is the best way to modify it?

Thanks

Unfortunately you'll have to delete and recreate the scope.

You shouldn't be doing it anyway.

The LAN Segments need to tay below 250-300 hosts,...which means keep the /24
bit mask.

Buy a LAN Rotuer (or Layer3 Switch) and add another /24bit segment for
another 254 hosts.

If this is a company that is hitting near 250 machines there they will never
convince me that they cannot afford to buy a LAN router to fix this
correctly.
