I'm considering switching from BT to Sky...

Any Sky users successfully using the Chandlers Ford
exchange - STCFORD?

Easynet was enabled on 22 Nov 06.

There are a number of horror stories re SKY and newly
fitted LLU exchanges so I'm trying to do a bit of due
diligence before I leap in with both feet!!!

Many thanks,
Roy

If Your exchange was one of the many which where f***ed up it should
have been sorted by now. Mine only took 2 months (with me phoning
each week, sending letters, emails etc) & it was a simple fix as well.

AFAIA Easynet have now got different sub-contractors who do appear to
know what they're doing which does make a whole lot of difference.

All in all you should be ok...

Kraftee,

Many thanks for your response...

It would be nice to get just one response from a
Sky user using this exchange.. Just one!!!

I really don't want to be without an internet
connection for 2 months like some people... !!!

Roy

According to one of your colleagues, at my local exchange they had a load of
untrained Polish sparkies doing the work.

Sounds about right, it would explain how they could put the cards in
upside down wouldn't it. But don't get me started about the
'immigration problem' there is with foreign sub contractors, many
true, sad tales to be told but many being caused by their employers
not equipping them properly, like sending them out, without ladders,
or a gas kit to install new pole head DP's & then BT start raving at
Openreach because the lines aren't working(I kid you not)...

I'm toying with it - I am on the STCFORD exchange but I am currently with
Bulldog on a second line. I currently have a voice only BT line which is
where I would have the Sky deal installed. It would reduce my monthly
payments from £32.00 with Bulldog to £10 with Sky

I just cannot decide if I can be bothered to be honest as I don't have any
problems with Bulldog
