On the 22nd of October I switched from BTYahoo broadband to Central
Point, and 3 days later my service failed, and I have had nothing from
Central Point since. Not a dicky bird. They say that BT are
investigating a fault.

What can be going on here, as I do not believe the "fault" story? I
have had BB service from BTYahoo with no problems for over a year. It
all looks a bit too coincidental to me. Are BT making my life
difficult for me for switching, or have Central Point / Telefonica
buggered up and won't tell me the truth?

Any thoughts quite welcome.

I am with an ISP on ISDN trying to convert to BB. They use Telefonica
and I have been waiting over 7 weeks for a connection. BT now say there
are no facilities available, yet the exchange is showing green. It would
seem that BT are not putting much effort into enabling T/f at this
exchange. Maybe it is a similar story with you?

If you're being told that there isn't capacity this will affect any new
provide for any company, so you won't be alone. The problem will be
resolved but is often caused by the contractors (yes the equipment is under
maintenace contract for at least a year after installation) 'robbing Peter
to pay Paul' with their maintenance

Thanks for this. The annoying thing is that I had a connection with
Central Point / Telefonica for 3 days. It has now disappeared yet to
return, after a week. I think I am going elsewhere. I don't think it
is a capacity problem. There wasn't one a week ago, so I think it
unlikely that one has arisen in so short a time.
