Is it possible to share a cdrw drive, and let it be written to by another
computer.

Host (with cdrw) xphome amd athlon xp 1ghz

Client win98 pentuim2 226mhz

Just wondering...

Sure as long as you're on the computer that hosts the CDRW drive and just
select and burn whatever files you want off the networked/remote computer.

Are you asking whether you can sit at the Win98 computer and make it
write files to the XP computer's CD-RW drive? If so, the answer is
"no". The XP computer can share its CD-RW drive on the network, but
other computers will have read-only access to it.

Well you could stick some remote control Proggy on the XP machine letting
you run the Burning Prog and then you could.

Or you could just copy the files that need to be burned to the XP
machine and use the CD-RW locally there.
