when the net access control is setup for "user level access control" i was
able to assign the ether add to somewhere (196.55.6.77) and i got a ping
response (from somewhere!) using the arp and ping in w98.
during bootup, i get activity betweeen cpu unit and tower, probably just the
hardware making connections.
Procom site has some ware for these, so i may end up getting that. their
manual says these are" easy and simple to connect to microsoft w9x
networking" hmmmmmmm........:-))
