Just added a fourth user to CCProxy and when I try to connect using the new
details its telling me, 'Too many users' Can anyone help me? Surely you
can have more than 4 connections set up? Seems a bit strange?

http://www.youngzsoft.net/download.htm :
"CC Proxy is an easy-to-use proxy server software. The demo version can
support 3 users and no time limitation."

I understand there is a problem in Windows XP allowing more than 4
connections, but unsure how to cure it.

XP was set to only allow a max of 10 concurrent connections.

In your CCproxy "Account Manager" how many connections have you set?

The limitation of the number of network connections (actually shared
drives I think but I may be wrong) in XP is in the "Home" edition. It's an
artificial restriction for marketing reasons. The cure is to upgrade to
"Professional" for an outrageous fee. This also does away with the
"activation" bollocks.

Of course some people just get a copy of Professional from a friend who
works for a company with licenses for it, but I could not possibly
recommend such an illegal act.

Or run Linux Squid is generally included, it's a very capable proxy
server. Linux does not impose any "connection limit".

Regards, Ian
