category 5 cables

Is there any way to connect 2 computers using cat 5
cabling ? Id like to connect 2 computers with the cables,
network cards and no hub. Is this possible?

Yes.
Use a cross-over cable.

You could use a crossover cable these can be purchased or made (diagrams can
be found on the web) but a hub would be better, I've seen them for not much
over £10 and a switch would be even better if you end up with more machines
(although slightly more expensive).
