I'm trying to connect two jacks together using a cat 5 cable. One
jack will be connected to a computer, the other a router. It'll be
like this; computer <-> patch cable <-> jack <-> cable <-> jack
<-> patch cable <-> router.

Can I use 568B pin-out on both jacks?

Try this site for connector pinouts. Being in an electronic and PC world it
sure helps to have a fabulous resource like this on the web. They used to
have a downloadable version of the guide so you might want that for future
ref.

I should have mentioned to pick A or B and stick with it. All jacks on the
same run must use the pinout. All future in-wall runs should also be the
same. Patch cords don't matter because they are 1 to 1 connected unless you
use a X-over cable for direct connect PC to PC.

I personally used B to do my place.
