Hi there

some questions about cat-5 vs cat-6 cabling. I am thinking about installing
cat-6 cabling into my home - but I have never done such a thing before, so
am looking for advice.

Given the choice is cat-6 much better than cat-5?

If the cabling is cat-6, should the wall outlets also be cat-6 (are wall
outlets even specified like this)?

Is it very difficult to make a cat-6 installation? For example: crimping the
cable into the outlets - can I use the same crimping tool for cat-5 as for
cat-6?

Are the physical dimensions of the plugs and outlets the same? And are they
compatible - in the sense that if I have a network with cat-6 cabling and
outlets, can I plug a cat-5 patch-cable into it?

Thanks,
Peter
