Carphone weighs £1bn AOL UK bid

CARPHONE WAREHOUSE is considering a bid for the £1 billion British business
of AOL, it emerged yesterday, as the mobile phone retailer revealed that its
"free" broadband service had outstripped expectations.

Carphone, founded by Charles Dunstone, its chief executive, is understood to
be among a group of mobile phone and broadband internet players to have
sought information on the AOL sale.

Or forget it... Who cares who buys AOL UK anyway, as it makes little or
no difference (unless one is a customer, but I thought you are on Cable!)

Yes, I am now a blueyonder user, used to be with Pipex and for 2.5 months
with TalkTalk. I just don't want to see people suffer the poor service you
get from TalkTalk.
