Carey will undoubtedly be annoyed with me but I'll answer anyway. :-)
If you must add IPX/SPX or NetBEUI to your network for it to work properly,
that means that something in the TCP/IP stack is screwed up or your TCP/IP
settings are incorrect. Some sites recommend adding multiple protocols
instead of finding the root cause of the problem and that's not a good thing
at all. All that does is slow down startup and shutdown and mask the true
cause of the networking difficulties.
There is never a reason that you need to add any other protocol to make
TCP/IP work correctly. Period.
