to broaden my reception of my wireless router
i need to place extra access points (i suppose) further away

i can't put a wired connection to the access point
from the wireless router
this connection should also be WIRELESS and not via ethernetcable

is there a sollution to capture and retransmit the wireless signal

thanks

johan

Yes .. the solution is to use a "repeater" such as the Dlink 800/900+ or
whatever other brand you prefer or need to have to be compatible.

All you have to program into these guys (via a temporary ethernet
connection) is the MAC address (that is displayed in a site survey) of
any AP/router you want to repeat.

Then unplug the ethernet cable and set the thing anywhere you want
(within workable range of the unit you are repeating).

Another option would be to bridge (wirelessly) to another local LAN
(perhaps a small hub etc) and run wired APs out from that new remote
location.

IMHO as always ...
