cantenna & wrt45g or wap54g

I'd like to recieve my neighbor's internet connection through a
cantenna, consider that as an external recieving antenna for a linksys
wrt54g or wap54g and then re broadcast that signal to my house. Is
this possible? Which router/AP is more tailored for my needs and how
can I set the router up to recognize the cantenna as an external
recieving antenna and to rebroadcast the signal to my laptop and
desktop? Thanks.

By the way, I HAVE done a googsle search and looked in various forums
but I'm still confused.
