can't set up ICS client

i have set my my host ICS, but i can't even start with the
client pc. After inserting the client disk (floopy disk)
and run it. 2 errors return - 1. <unkown>....Illegal
operation..will be shut down... 2. Restrictions - This
operation has been cancelled due to restriction in effect
on this computer. Pls contact ur system adm.

where did i go wrong? i have ddo installed over seagate
20g hd. is this the issue?

There's no need to run the client disk. The default network settings
should work fine on an ICS client. Try it.

i've traced the problem to the client networking. The host
can access teh client's hd, but the client can't detect
the host pc's. i've also removed/uninstal all adapters,
tcp/ip's, clients for ms network, file&printer sharing, &
reinstalling them.
i use ethernet switch & ethernet modem. Since setting up
the switch, the host pc's (& client's), switch's &
modem's LEDs all blink - pause only for a few seconds &
blink again. The host's desktop connection status
indicates bytes sent out continuously. Is this a faulty
setup?
