DanR Thanks but I've done all that. Windows firewall is turned off on both
machines as the belkin router has one built in. File and print sharing are
allowed on both machines according to firewall settings. The ICS worked at
first but since I tried to get file sharing working that has stopped too!!
The laptop shows an "excellent" signal is being received. When I go to "add
a network place" on either machine I can't get past the point where I see the
other machine on the Windows network. When I click on the icon for the other
machine it doesn't expand to show any folders, hard drives etc so I can get
no fiurther.
Driving me mad - Help please !!!!!!
