Can't see lan card!

Hi,
I have a windows 2000 professional. I create many connection and I work with
many modems (ADSL, ISDN, 56K).
I can't see the connections from Network properties! Very strange! I can see
(and use) the connections from Internet Explorer..
Now I add a network card in my computer; the installation is good, but i
can't see it from Network properties.. any helps??

Thank's. I tried the suggestions but without resolve my problems.. Any other
