Hi,

I have added a 2003 member server to a 2000 AD domain. I created a share on
one of the drives but when going about setting permissions it cant seem to
see AD i.e when searching all it finds is itself + its users/groups.

I can map a drive ok from this machine but it does as me for USER/PASS.

The add to domain wizard went thorugh ok when adding to domain.

I also installed WINS and DNS on this machine. Seems to be working fine so
far.

Any idea why i cant see users/groups from AD ?

Thanks
Scott

im logged into 2003 member server as domain admin. this did take a min to
load though. maybe the admin security is cached and it still couldnt
actually connect to AD.

"I also installed WINS and DNS on this machine."

Is this server pointing to itself for DNS? Is the zone standard secondary;
and if so, is it populated with all the SRV records?
