Can't reinstall MBN utillity

I can't reinstall the MSBN utility that shows up on start
up.

In the middle of an update, my computer froze up, and i
had to restart. The program did not start up correctly,
and gave me this message.
"The windows installer failed to install the program
associated with this run file. Please contact the system
administrator."

I then tried to reinstall from the update file that I
downloaded earlier. The setup utility was able to detect
my firmware on the router, but no software on the computer.


I also tried inserting the original cd in order to see if
I could install the old version, and then update again,
however I received this error "Unable to install because a
newer version of this product is already installed."

I also checked Add/Remove programs, but I could not find
the MSBN utility in there. If anyone could give me the
exact name of what is called, I would appreciate that.

I am now stuck, and I cant figure out a way in order to
either uninstall or install any working version of the
MSBN.

If you're on Windows XP, you don't need the front end at all. Just use your
browser, going to 192.168.2.1 (the default IP of the base station), and you
can administer it just fine.

turn off your anti virus when installing
that is clealy in the instructions to install
