can't print to a windows printer from Redhat 9

I have a HP LaserJet 1000 printer attached to a Chinese Windows 2000
machine. I followed the procedure to set up a Samba networked printer
on another Redhat 9 linux box. But I can't print anything to that
printer.

I tried 'smbclient -L xxx -U xxx' command. I can see the printer,

I also used ethereal to monitor the communication between linux box
and the windows server, everthing seems fine (at least to me). Data is
sent to windows server, but nothing comes out of the printer.
