I just enabled and setup NLB with 2 of my new Dell servers. I am using WIN2k3
standard. NLB works fine..it load balances perfectly however I am unable to
ping a couple of printers on my network. If i disable NLB i can ping fine but
once enabled I can't ping some IP addresses (printers). I've tried
reaserching this and can't find any document at all that can help me. Any
help would be great!
Thanks

All nodes in the nlb cluster have the same mac address on the nlb nic´s.
It's possible that those printers do not know how to get back to the cluster
do to an incompatible switch in between. This is only a wild guess. :-)

This is what I'm figuring as well. I'm going to upgrade the firmware on the
printer as see if that works.

Any other suggestions?

Solved it!!!!

I had to add a static entry in the arp cache.... like this

arp -s 192.168.10.50 00-23-6b-45-67-ca

I know could ping and print to it.....

Thanks for
