I'm reposting on this in desperation. I've had no useful response but
it's getting worse.

This is a simple wired network - desktop and laptop.

Occasionally (quite often, really... but not always) the laptop will
not open a document which is on the desktop computer.. The document is
usually, perhaps always, a WordPerfect document; but this doesn't
apply to all WordPerfect documents. The document is in a shared folder
on the desktop computer.

When attempting to open on the laptop, the error message In Use or Read
Only appears. If I click on Yes ("you may open but not edit. Do you
want to?) I then get Access Denied.

There is no common thread here. The documents' property sheets are
identical to other documents (eg they are not read-only documents).

Recreating the documents with new names sometimes solves the problem,
but not always.

This continues to happen even with some new documents.

Otherwise the network works fine;.

Please can somebody help?
