I need some help about joining Win2k3 to the domain 2k3, but
I tried to join a client which its OS is Win2k3,but I faced an error
when entering the domain name.
Meanwhile, clients which their OS are XP Pro didn't have any problem
with joining this domain.
The mentioned is :
Following error title really surprised me: computer name changes

and the error is : ((the following error occurred attemping to join the
domain "PADA.com":the remote procedure call failed and did not
execute.))

In news:(E-Mail Removed) ps.com,

Simply put, this error, and numerous others similar to it, can be caused by
using an ISP's DNS server in TCPIP properties. After all, the machine is
asking the DNS server, "Where is pada.com's domain controller(s) so I can
ask to join this machine." If the ISP's DNs is in there, then it will not
have that answer. Keep in mind you cannot mix ISP and internal DNS either.
Only use the internal DNS server. To make internet resoltuion more
efficient, configure a forwarder to the ISP in the DNS server's properties
in the console.

If you are not sure how to interpret this post, please provide us with an
*unedited* ipconfig /all of the member server you are trying to join, as
well as one from your current DC please. TO make it easier, all you have to
do is copy and paste thne results from the command line to your post. For
the most part, ipconfigs usually tell us right away. If the issue is not in
there, we'll work from there, but at least it will give us a great start. -
Thanks
