Hi! I have Windows XP (SP2) and Shaw high-speed cable connection to the
internet. I recently purchased a Notebook (with built in wireless card)
complete with a MSI router.

I want it to network with my desktop pc. The host computer (my desktop pc)
seams to be set up properly to network with the Notebook but for some reason
I can’t set up the “Notebook” to share data with “The Host” and vice versa.
I thought I did what was required on each computer but to no avail.

I have gone to My “Network Places” and have clicked: “view workgroup
computers” and I get this response: “Contact the administrator of this
server to find out if you have access permission. The list of servers for
this workgroup is currently not available.”

I don’t know what this means and Shaw Cable say it’s not within their scope
of responsibly. Can anyone tell me what step I’m missing?

--
Kind regards. Shane
