Hi all I bought a Belkin 54g Wireless DSL/Cable router that I plugged
into my cable modem using the cable provided. The wan light flashes
and the connection light flashes.

I also bought a Belkin 54g laptop card and that seems to be installed
fine based on diagnostics, green lights, etc.

My problem is it simply wont connect to the Internet.

I get the classic site not found screen.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Swap the CM <--> Router cable with a normal patch cable instead of the
one supplied with the CM, fixed my problem with an F5D7230-4 and Ambit
CM combination.

Check you LAN connection doesn't use a proxy server. Can be found in
Internet Properties in IE.

Worked for, me.

Ihad the identical problem! Called the tech lines at both belkin and
Verizon. No help. I decided to upgrade the firmware on the router by
downloading it to my desktop with the dsl modem hooked directly to the
pc and then uploading it into the router after switching the cables
back. Works like a charm now.
I hate it when products are shipped and you have to update them as
soon as you buy them because they won't work out of the box.

Same thing here. Had to download newest firmware to get reasonable
performance.

BTW, do have any problems with the router occasionally losing the WAN
connection to the internet (i.e., the connection from the cable modem to
the router). As I've posted, before mine loses connectivity every 20min
to 1 hr for a few seconds (cable modem is fine).

I'm on my second Belkin router which may be a little more stable.

Thanks,
Harvey
