I have XP pro SP2 running on a wireless LAN with a dialup connection to the
internet. I have setup ICS and it is working as advertised, all of my
computers can access the internet through the "gateway" computer. However I
can't get the gateway computer to dial when an internet connection is
requested. There is a checkbox on the Advanced tab for the dialup
connection properties that indicates that a request to connect should
initiate the dialup connection if it isn't already connected, "Establish a
dial-up connection whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the
internet." This is checked but it doesn't dial.

All other computers on my network use this computer as the gateway in the
TCP/IP settings and can access files on this machine and can connect using
Remote Desktop but cannot make it dial on request.

HEP ME!

Kevin

Hi
Such a dialup setup is dependent on few component (hardware and software)
and it is not a countable way to have a smooth system.
You might be much better of configuring a system as described in option 2 of
this page, http://www.ezlan.net/DialUp.html
